Complete microbiological analysis is available, including shelf life studies, standard microbiological enumeration, and pathogen challenge testing. Organisms we can test for include yeasts, molds, parasites and bacterial pathogens including E. coli O157:H7, Listeria spp., Salmonella spp., Vibrio spp., Campylobacter spp., Clostridium spp., Staphylococcus spp., and Yersinia spp.
A full range of chemical analyses are offered, including specialized analytical instrumentation such as gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy, liquid chromatography/mass spectroscopy, and NMR.
Complete analysis of physical properties is available for your product before and after treatment, including viscosity, color analysis, and texture.
The University and New River Valley community provide an excellent diversity of people that can be recruited to do sensory evaluation of products prepared with and without HPP treatment. Panels can be specific to any range of ages, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, educational or socioeconomic level required for a thorough evaluation of product potential.
Additional analyses can be scheduled through the HPP Laboratory when you schedule your samples for processing.
